Kensight M1 Carbine Rifle Adjustable Precision Peep Kensight Rear Sight

Kensight Gun Sights are used as original equipment for many of today's top manufacturers. This Kensight M1 Carbine Rifle Rear Sight is Fully Adjustable for both Windage and Elevation, and is a modern-day recreation of the Original, WWII-Era Milled Adjustable Rear Sight that blends an authentic appearance with exceptional functionality. The rear sight body is Wire-EDM machined from 4140 Chrome Moly Steel that is then heat treated to a hardness of RC 38-40, and features precise click-adjustments for windage that produce reliable, consistent point of impact changes. Elevation adjustments are accomplished by sliding the Peep Aperture Ramp forward or rearward to engage one of the four different detent positions (Marked "1," "2," "2.5," and "3" indicating the range to the target). IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTES: Please be sure you are purchasing the correct sight for your existing slide dovetail. If you are unsure of your factory dovetail dimensions, call the manufacture or do some research to be sure this is the correct sight for your dovetail cut. There are a lot of Forums around the internet that will be able to help with this information as well.

THE SIGHT WILL NOT JUST "SLIDE IN" TO EXISTING DOVETAILS. DO NOT FILE ON YOUR SLIDE! Kensight sight dovetails are slightly oversized to provide a factory fit. The actual sight dovetails are larger than your existing slide cut, and this is intentional. Each manufacture has slightly different tolerances on the slide dovetail dimensions. The Kensight sight oversized dovetail will need to be filed and fitted to your particular slide dovetail size. We recommend installation from a competent Gunsmith.
