It's a good sight replacement for those wanting something more than black iron sights but, they do not want to throw a red dot on their AK. I got this and used it for the first time at a tactical carbine course. Yeah, I was the only one with an AK. Over twenty years of M4 and AR use professionally, including over ten years teaching and running ranges. I wanted to have fun. I bought a PSA AK with standard furniture, Used some duck tape and 550 cord to reposition the back sling mount, threw this sight on and went to the class. We did a very quick zero verification at 50 yards prone. Less than one inch group. It did rotate after 50 rnds, so I threw on some loctite (good to have in the range bag) and was good to go after the first break. I like it. I was able to quickly pick up the sight and accurately shoot with all of the drills presented. On a side note, that AK and sight outshot 85% of the class. Mag changes were slower. Nature of the beast. The sight performed nicely. Time will tell how durable it is. Fiber optics like to break. But, so far so good! I was able to shoot just as fast as the AR shooters with this sight. I grouped better than several of the guys in the class with red dots and VLP scopes. I would recommend getting this sight, zeroing it, then immediately throwing some rocksett or high temp loctite on it just in case. I originally bought my first sight last summer. I just bought two more for a couple more 'boating accident tools' that I no longer have...because they sunk.....if you know what I mean.

I purchased the Kensight AK Fiber Optic Rear Sight for my Century RAS 47. The installation was easy and everything went right. I used the red inserts, which made it easier for my eyes. Sight adjustment was just like the original AK, and with a few turns, it was hitting correctly. With care, and some protection, the sight will serve well, but it will not take the abuse and hard field test. I will purchase another one for my second AK.

Well made. It will also work on a PSL 54C type rifle. You have to place the fiber optic rod in the slot and then use a lighter to melt the ends a little so the rod will stay in place. Easy to do.
