This is our Kensight Colt Style Rear Sight which is fully adjustable for both windage and elevation, and is a faithful modern-day recreation of the original sight used on Colt revolvers for many years. The rear sight body is wire-EDM machined from 4140 chrome moly steel that is then heat treated to a hardness of RC 38-40, and features precise click-adjustments that allow for reliable, consistent point of impact changes. Sight comes complete with a replacement hinge pin and springs. This rear sight is equipped with an independent white outline square blade that is enclosed within the main sight body for a greater degree of protection against bumps, tumbles and rough handling. The result is a more rugged adjustable sight design that blurs the line between a fragile target-grade adjustable sight and a durable fixed rear sight. This sight is compatible with pistols and revolvers supplied with factory original Elliason rear sights, such as the older Colt 1911 Gold Cup Series 70 & Series 80 guns, Pre-Series 70 Colt National Match, Colt Ace, Colt Python, Anaconda, King Cobra, Trooper, Diamondback, Officer's Model Match and Woodsman Target models. It will NOT fit Colt Delta models or newer recreations of the Colt Gold Cup 1911. I give this a 4 star because the product is good and the customer service I got was good. The shipping was bad due to the product being drop shipped and it seemed to just get lost in the system. I never got a shipping notice until a week or so later. But I go back to the guys at mounts plus did reply to emails quickly and I appreciate that. I will use them again.

I found that this sight improved my Colt Diamondback. It only shot a few inches left before adjustment, compared to the original which was off by a few feet. The white outline also made for a clearer sight picture for me. Despite being easy to install according to other reviews, I paid a gunsmith $15 to install it for added security.

I was overjoyed to find this sight! My Taurus PT-99's rear sight blade broke, making the pistol unusable. I searched online for a Taurus PT-99 rear sight blade, but found no sources. Replacing the whole slide would have cost me around $250. I got the Kensight and made slight modifications, including centering it on the vertical adjustment screw, shaving off some of the Taurus's back, and drilling new hinge holes. The sight fit without issue. At the range, I was pleasantly surprised to find the sight was accurate. I had concerns about the vertical adjustment, but it was spot on. I was able to save my Taurus for much less than buying a new slide. I highly recommend the Kensight.

I bought these to restore a '83 Colt Gold Cup NM 1911 to give it a Colt Python view. I haven't used them yet so I won't know if these hold up but it wouldn't matter since maintenance on the staked front and pinned rear sights are needed once in a while since 1911s are my specialty so no complaints from me, thanks.
