Leupold has again created a standout product with their AR 15 scope featuring the Pig Plex reticle. This reticle is designed for the improved combat zero, allowing for accurate shots at ranges from 50 to 500 yards using hash marks on the reticle. The larger marks represent 100-yard increments, while the smaller marks represent 50 yard in-between ranges. The scope can also be dialed in with the turret for additional drop compensation. In addition to its impressive reticle, this 1-4x scope also boasts exceptional glass and a lightweight design that's half the weight of similar 1-6 or 1-8 scopes in the 30mm format. All of these features make it a top choice for hunting and 3-gun shooting. Despite its impressive capabilities, there is limited information available on the reticle. However, a call to the Leupold factory can provide all the necessary details. Overall, the Leupold AR 15 scope with Pig Plex reticle is a reliable and versatile for shooters.

Bright Hog scope, just as you would expect, from Leupold. The pig plex makes for quick target acquisition. The scope has enough magnification that picking out a hog in the brushline at a distance is made easy. Fabulous Hog scope for a great scope and don't forget the Leupold Lifetime Warranty!!

Mounted this scope on a Marlin Guide gun 45-70 to use for hog hunting and general shooting use. Positive adjustments and a crisp clear sight picture. So far, its held up very well, no change in zero, and it looks good on the gun.

I have an earlier Leopold Pig-Plex scope on my Marlin 1895 in .45-70, and I like it for hunting deer in heavy cover. When I picked up a 336 in .35 Rem. I wanted the same scope, and this one, while not the same, is close. It's not as clear as my other Leupold scopes, but it's not bad. Once on my .35, I'm pretty happy with it, and functionally, it is the same. Excellent scope for in close work in heavy cover and out to 200 yards; shots over 150 yards are rare around here.

Leupold is a great American company, this is an excellent scope for the AR-15. I have several scopes and love the reticle in this scope on the AR-15.

I replaced the reflex sight on my AR-15 with this scope. This is my first Leupold product, and I am very satisfied. I have Bushnell, Nikon, Simmons, and Tasco scopes...Leupold is better.

I wanted to get something less bulky than regular hunting scope and got exactly what I was looking for. If you find a model with an illuminated reticle, go for it, as it will make it much more useful in low light or when using glasses

It looks beautiful when looking through it and when looking at it. Has enough power for hunting. Maybe a little low powered for target shooting but high powered scopes with large objective lenses can overpower a rifle. They look like they should be at an observatory rather than on a hunting rifle. My only complaint is that it didn't come with lens covers but those are cheap.

There are very few scopes that I have had greater initial satisfaction with. I purchased this scope with the "Pig Plex" for my 1895 Guide Gun (.45-70) and could not be happier with the performance so far. It is crisp and bright with a zero that is repeatable (I dialed the corners with it, and it returned to zero without issue). Like I said in a previous review of another Freedom scope I purchased, it's not a Leupold VX-6, but you're getting a lot more reach than you're paying for. After initially sighting it in, I have done some "quick shooting" at steel targets at various ranges. The target acquisition with the Pig Plex reticle is fantastic. I engaged targets from 50 yards to 200 yards and was able to deliver hits in rapid succession consistently. I cannot wait to get this thing out in the field!

I bought this Leupold 1.5-4x VX-Freedom scope to mount on a Marlin .30-30 lever-action rifle, as I wanted a straight objective, a compact scope that didn't look so out of place on this gun. After mounting & bore sighting it, I headed to the range, and it took just two shots to zero it at 50 yards, due to the precise adjustments. The scope is clear & bright & the power range adequate for such use. On the lowest power, you will see your front sight through the scope. Excellent value for the low price.

Leupold has hit it out of the park again with the Leupold VX-Freedom 1.5-4x 20mm Scope. Excellent glass and the most functional reticle yet for a AR 15. Too bad, Leupold has put out no info on the reticle. I called the factory and got the info. Its made for the improved combat zero. 50/200. Just zero it at 50 yards, and you are about 2 inches high at 100 and nearly zeroed at 200 yards. The hash marks on the reticle are for 300,350,400,450 and 500 yards. They neglect to explain this in the info on the scope. The more substantial hash marks are for the 100-yard increments, and the smaller ones are for the 50 yard in-between numbers. I just got done zeroing my scope and checking the numbers, and they are very, very close. Well done indeed. You can also use the turret to dial in the drop if you want. One of the other selling points is that this 1-4 weighs about 1/2 what a 1-6 or 1-8 does in the 30mm format. This is about all you will need out to 400 yards or so for hunting or three guns, etc., all in a lightweight package.

I desired the exact same scope and this one while perhaps not the exact same is close. It isn't as apparent like my other Leupold scopes, but it is not bad. Once on my 35 I am pretty pleased with it and functionally it's the exact same. An excellent scope for at close work in heavy covers and out to 200 yards, shots over 150 yards are uncommon around here.
