Great quality piece by Harris
Exactly what I needed to fit my off-brand bipod to my flat forend. Excellent quality piece by Harris.
works for CZ VPT
Works great on my beaver tail fore end on my CZ VPT. Little expensive for what it is, but hey it works
Effective fix for flat bottomed stocks
This adapter fixed the bipod rotation problem on my B&C A2 flat bottomed stock. It is rock solid now when the thumbscrew is tight. I do have to reach up frequently and tighten it. It completely covers my second swivel stud, ruling out the use of a sling, I thought. I recently figured out that the Harris Bipod has holes drilled through the tops of the pinch handles, which I assume allows for the attachment of a swivel sling. If I were Harris Engineering, I would add a way to lock the thumbscrew in place once it is tight. Other than that, this adapter is perfect!
Solves A Problem Well
I have the Harris BR bipod. I also bench rest rifles that have beaver tail forends. The "yoke" on the stock Harris bipod is too V-shaped (which is fine for most rifles) for my two flatter-stocked guns, And I know I have I was afraid that I could rip the stud out of stock either by overtightening the bipod or the recoil from the 7mm mag. I thought about some rubber filler material to buffer the stock, but I thought it might not work or look pretty stupid. So I bought this adapter which solves the problem. I'm glad they make it. One improvement would be to alter how the "wings" that adjust to the stock are tightened. One Allen-type screw is easily accessible, while the other is almost hidden by the bipod frame when attached. I know I have it installed correctly, as I followed Harris' instructions. I can't complain too much because this product is the only game in town for the fix I needed. Life is good. LOL
matches perfectly
I have A Tactical Solutions Vantage inventory for my 10/22. The front part of the stock is broader than usual and incredibly flat, making it impossible to use any firmly attached bipod. I set up a Harris bipod with the Harris adapter, and it matches perfectly. I've read other reviews where they say to remove the tabs on the front of the adapter, but don't remove them. They're there to help secure and center the adapter. Cost is a bit significant. However, it fits perfectly, and I'd buy again.
