Solid aluminum coated legs. Doesnt only fit 'the saw', but all Squad Automatic Weapons as the intended selling point. Fits like any other attachment. If youre going to get a Grip Pod, get this version and take care of it with some RP-342 mil grade rust preventative so the internal springs and parts dont rust out, sieze up, or corrode over the years. This Grip Pod solid aluminum leg SAW variant fits the dual accessory rail option just fine, making this the most versatile investment on one attachment point. Took about 3 months to get on backorder, but its rare everywhere and no paperwork bs to worry about ordering here as some places only want to sell to 'official use' professionals.

I’m currently in the US military, 11b, I’ve used the original grip pod to this one for years. It works and extremely well compared to what I originally thought of the product, thinking it wasn’t gonna hold up to the standards. I’ve used this full auto on the saw, and the m4 with the deployed bipod legs and the legs are still holding strong. The only thing is the spring (button to deploy bipod) on the inside is finally weakening, but it works about 90% of the time. Just to put this out there, I have used this on my PTR and FAL to see how it stands up to 7.62 nato, and it worked fine as well. I’d recommend this to anyone and save up for this one over that Amazon junk.

It’s really long as a vertical fore grip and it isn’t nearly as good at being a bipod as a designated bipod, but if weight and space are a concern and you only need a bipod occasionally this is a solid option.
