Geissele Super Sabra Lightning Bow Trigger (IWI Tavor & X95 Rifles)

The Super Sabra Lightning Bow® Trigger is precision machined from precipitation hardened 17-4 and is designed to replace the standard trigger in IWI Tavor rifles. Once installed, the Sabra Lightning Bow is adjustable via a set screw that removes the “slack” that is inherently found in the trigger mechanism of those rifles. By removing the slack, the trigger pull is instantly transformed into a feel that is much more familiar to that of an M4 Carbine. Pairing the Sabra Lightning Bow with a Super Sabra Trigger Pack will result in a pull that is truly two stage and has a match grade feel.

Buy this with the Super Sabra

I bought the lightning bow with the super sabra for my tavor, and I have to admit, it has the crispest break I’ve ever felt—night and day difference from stock. I don’t work for the company, and I have nothing to gain from this, but if you have a Tavor SAR, GET THEM BOTH.

    Smooth, lighter, and well built.

This was a relatively straight forward install. Having an X95, you should have a 3mm Allen and a Tavor barrel removal tool anyways, and I had zero issues installing it. The main thing I can't stress enough is to make sure you remove your charging handle before unlocking your barrel. IWI has some great takedown videos on YouTube, so I knew this info going into the install. The trigger is much lighter and smoother, and the set screw allowed me to take all of the take-ups. Great motivation, and with the stock trigger pack, it is precisely where I want it to be. Worth every penny.

    Exellent modification to Tavor SAR

The geissele lightning bow trigger made a significant difference in overall trigger control on my Tavor SAR. By itself, the lightning bow trigger makes the trigger-pull feel more like a standard mil-spec AR-15, which was good enough for now intend to use it. Installation is not what I would consider simple and will take dissembling more than half the rifle and the use of proprietary but inexpensive barrel wrench, so bear that in mind. It took me about an hour or so with help from YouTube.

First, the X-95 factory trigger is not bad compared to the gen one trigger. However it's still a military trigger meant to go through hell and back without failing. Still, if you are not going into battle with this rifle the trigger has room for improvement and this geissele tavor trigger bow is definitely a BIG improvement takes a lot of mush out of the pull and about a pound, so you go from a mushy 6.5lb pull to a crisp 5.5 pull with just the trigger bow, now add a trigger pack timney or geissele and you have a nice 3.5lb and crisp trigger. It's not hard to install if you have the right tools(IMI barrel lock wrench) and a small punch, Allen wrenches, and a Phillips screwdriver. Read all the instructions and watch it on youtube a few times and you should not have any problems. PS. A trick I figured out while disassembling take a qtip cut about 3/4in. Out of the middle make u out of it and use it the hold the locking tab up while you rotate the barrel lock on the opposite side of where the barrel wrench goes, it worked good for me. I hope this helps.

First and foremost, you do need to take apart the X95/Tavor. Also, it would help if you had the barrel wrench from IWI to take out the barrel to replace the trigger bow. If you don't feel comfortable find a reputable gunsmith to do this install, I say its common skill set. With that being said, the instructions are basic from geissele, but it's obvious on how they advise you to adjust the "slack" once installed. Once it's all put back together, the trigger will feel like Geissele's AR/M4 style triggers. Pair this with the Super Sabra, and you have a winner. The geissele lightning bow trigger price is up there but you wont regret the purchase.

I ordered the Trigger pack and the lightning bow trigger. Honestly wasn't sure if I needed the trigger since I knew trigger pack would make the most improvement, plus I was concerned about pulling the barrel to access the trigger. Turned out to be a straightforward swap as long as you have the barrel wrench. Was worried due to comments making it sound complicated and YouTube reviews where the charging handle was damaged. Just follow the instructions, and it's straightforward. I took it apart a second time to adjust the take-up a little more and had the barrel off in minutes once I knew what I was doing.
