EGW red dot mounts are meant to be installed from the left to the right (with the muzzle facing forward). The dovetail has a progressive taper to allow for easier install.

Simply remove the rear sight on your gun and replace it with our mount in order to mount your Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, JPoint, Redfield Accelerator, or Optima red-dot sight. You can take our mount off and replace your rear sight at any time. Mounting hardware included.
Installation Instructions
- Remove the rear sight*
- Install the EGW Sight Mount
- Tighten set screw (if applicable)
- Place the red dot sight on the EGW Sight Mount
(placing a small piece of paper between the red dot sight and the sight mountwill make for easier removal and will keep Loctite off of the red dot sight.)
- Apply blue Loctite to the provided mounting screws
- Torque mounting screws to 15in/lbs

Product is good for what it is, but i have the FNP and i know it says it doesnt work with the FNP.only the FNS because of the radius of the top of the slide, but because there is almost 0 aftermarket support for the FNP-9 i thought i could do some milling and get it to fit... But it didn't work... Not the products fault, im sure its great for what was advertised for, and i do love how its 1 piece instead of the plate screwing into the dovetail key. But if you have an FNS that you dont wanna rmr cut the slide, this is the best dovetail plate ive seen on the market

Easy to press in and align. It would be nice if there was an option(depending on red dot you’re using) that has the appropriate tabs on the mount removed. I added a Holosun and had to send the rear alignment tabs/pins flush. This was easy and I didn’t scratch up the top of the site mount. So far so good, no issues.
