    Another great accessory for .308/7.62 caliber rifles.The DPMS GII Evolution Series is an adaptation the AR-15 Evolution Series handguard, sized for the AR platform. The DPMS GII handguard is built specifically for the DPMS GII receiver geometry. Will only fit .308/7.62 rifles equipped with the OEM DPMS GII barrel nuts. Requires installation of low profile gas block on carbine and mid-length systems.

    NOTE: Requires an AP4 barrel nut (not included).

    Includes: Custom GII stainless steel bushing set, Two (2) 2" rail kits, One (1) 4" rail kit, and all mounting hardware

    • EX Models ideal for gas block sights or gas piston system

    • Thermal bushings clip to any AP4 barrel nut

    If you're searching for handguards for your G2, consider the Samson Evo rail. I originally requested the 12.37" for my Recon, but received the 15" due to Samson's error. I had to purchase the G2 short barrel nut from DPMS, but it was a great investment. The handguard is fantastic."

    The ONLY reason it didn't give the Samson DPMS G2 handguard 5 stars is because the instructions didn't match the product I received. I received what I believe is an updated product, but the instructions were for the previous model. A little searching and some mechanical inclination and the product installed quickly. The small alignment tabs form past reviews....no problems with mine. No filing. They fit perfectly. I think this is a decent looking and highly functional rail. I would purchase it again.
