DPM Recoil Reduction System | ON SALE
The DPM Systems Technologies LTD was established in 2003 Athens, Greece, and is known worldwide for development and manufacturing of firearms advanced components. One of their innovation, actually two, are the Magneto-mechanical and the Mechanical Recoil Reduction system. Both of the systems have been tested on numerous firearms firing everything from those regular old 115 grains rounds up to "+P" and "+P+" loads.
Mechanical Recoil Rod Reducer System
The more modern Mechanical Recoil Rod Reducer System is a genuine replacement for the factory recoil rod, and moreover, no modifications are required for their placement. Unlike some springs and a "shock buff" present on the market who did nothing to lessen felt recoil as the product touted it would, this system will make a big difference on any handgun.
Needless to say that the shooter is responsible for the performance of the gun and that any upgrades don't replace training, but the fact is that this system of multiple springs significantly increases the ability of shooters. In the opinion of many gun aficionados, DPM Recoil Reduction System is better than factory and works, flawlessly in comparison to some other systems that do nothing and are pointless.
The DPM Recoil Reduction System is a very high-quality system that replaces single recoil spring system and the polymer guide rod in the standard Glocks consisting of a stainless steel guide rod with an integrated short spring and then an outer large recoil spring. Also, the system came with two outer springs, a Gold spring that has a lower spring rate and is intended for standard pressure loads and a Silver Spring (which is longer by a couple of turns) with a higher spring rate for use for +P or +P+ loads regardless of caliber. Unlike the stock guide spring and rod, these springs are non-captive springs. Since enabling smooth operation, this dual spring system also prevents the slide from slamming fully to the rear while still retaining lots of energy. According to current trends, DPM Recoil Reduction System offers two options in the same package, providing the buyer with the ability to adjust a gun to his needs and specific features.
Since the multi-spring system very noticeably reduces recoil as well as muzzle rise and follow up shots are much more comfortable as sights generally stay on target, it also increases the smoothness of the cycling of the slide. Therefore, there is no need for an additional buffer with this system as it entirely prevents the slide from ramming rearward thoroughly.
While there were some complaints about reliability in the early series, today DPM Recoil Spring System functions flawlessly with all types of ammunition, meaning that the manufacturer has solved the problem.
As for the accuracy, there is a noticeable improvement regarding the grouping when using the DPM Recoil Reduction System, decreasing the group size by a good couple of inches, especially when doing rapid fire or double tap technique.
Magneto-mechanical Recoil Rod Reducer system
The other DPM variation of multiple springs called Magneto-mechanical systems uses a combination of Springs and Magnets to reduce the recoil and improves the firing speed. Moreover, it eliminates the jams and offers better control and greater accuracy but due to somewhat more significant dimensions demands a spacious holster designed for tactical light or laser.
By extending its product range, DPM Recoil Reduction System recently released an innovation in the form of the extended slide system available only for the subcompact pistols. On the opposite end, the numerous fans of AR15 also get DPM system intended for this platform called a Recoil Buffer Assembly as a direct replacement of the AR15 stock buffer and for the installation no modification is required. Aside recoil reduction, this system provides bolt and frame protection, elimination of jams and correct locking bolt. In this case for reduction of recoil, credit goes to multiple springs & counterweights mechanism.
