DPM Recoil Rod Reducer System for Springfield XD Service Model 4" Barrel .45 ACP

MECHANICAL RECOIL REDUCTION SYSTEM

The DPM Recoil Reduction System is a direct replacement for the stock recoil rod and does not change the configuration of the gun. This system works due to the multi spring intricate rod (three springs) and controls the functionality of the gun. The third spring which is contained within the rod controls the movement of the slide so it never rams on the frame. Also accompanying this system is a bushing and two separate external springs so the shooter can fine-tune the weapon for his/her personal standards.

I have the Springfield XD45 service model with a 4" barrel. There are not too many recoil reduction or solid guide rods available for this model. As a matter of fact, this is the only one I found. After shooting a friends modified xd, I wanted to do the something similar to mine. Well, I ordered this product and installed, went to the range to see how it felt. It does help dampen a bit more than stock setup. Flip up was also reduced. Let me sight in target a bit faster after each shot. Again this was the only one I found for the service model and 4" barrel. I was interested in a solid guide rod setup like my friend had on his xd.
