Better than a Harris
The Champion Bipod is an excellent alternative to the Harris Bipod. It features a more advanced lockup system for swivel and provides a steady aim. I personally prefer the Champion over the Harris, as it offers an easier and more secure way to lock the swivel in place with its lever. In contrast, the Harris has a knurled thumb nut that can make it difficult to tighten. The Champion Bipod is not only cheaper but is also comparable or even better in quality.
I own at least 6 Champion bipods
I own at least 6 Champion bipods mostly 9 to 13" non-pivoting bipods and they have worked great for at least the past 6 years. I have had a few leg pivot nuts get loose, but a tube of Loctite will fix that. I decided to try out this pivoting bipod and love it. It's mounted to a Winchester 7mm magnum and allows you to comfortably shoot from a ground seated position. These pods are sturdy and well built, and are cheaper than the Harris. You can't go wrong with this one and the pivot allows you to tilt the gun left or right to adjust for uneven terrain.
Definitely not Harris bipods
After reading the reviews I decided to give these a try. The mount is floppy and a pain to manipulate. They worked OK on light recoiling rifles but when I mounted them on my 358 Norma, the extended legs were collapsing after every shot
Works just great as a rifle bipod
Works just great as a rifle bipod with a very nice price. If you use it as a bipod, as it was designed. you will be happy. If you use it as a tiedown on a 4-wheeler it may not work so good obviously.
Same quality as Harris but a third less!
Same quality as Harris but a third less! I own this and the equivalent Harris and can't tell the difference between the two. I really like the pivot feature for those off angle shots when on the side of a ridge or uneven ground.
I have 5 swivel bipods
I have 5 swivel bipods. Two are Harris and 3 are from Shooter's Ridge/Rock Mount. Both brands make great bipods but they are NOT exact copies. If you want to install a locking lever then be careful which you order as the threads are different. Harris uses a 10/32 whereas the clones use a M6x1.0 thread. I gave these rifle bipods a 4-star only because one of my Shooter's Ridge/Rock Mount 6"-9" pivoting bipods snapped off at a welded union where the rounded forearm cradle attaches to the leg mechanism. I tried JB Weld on it to no avail. There's a lot of jerk at that union when the gun is recoiling. The company stood behind their product 100% and shipped a replacement in less than two weeks from when I mailed the broken bipod to them. I highly recommend the Rock Mount pivoting bipod to my friends. They're a great company with a very good customer service program.
used on my first ever Montana hunt
I used this Rifle bipod on my first ever Montana hunt and it malfunctioned, meaning that the pivot pin on one leg lost the nut and washer that I noticed when I was setting up a shot on a buck. I was able to quickly put it together enough for the shot. I contacted the manufacturer to get another pin, nut, washer and they sent me a whole new unit. Great custumer service in my opinion, therefore the five star rating even with the malfunction. Just keep a check on all connections. It is also very easy to chnge between rifles so you only need one.
Sturdy and Easy Install
I bought this Pivoting BiPod to steady my .22 while plinking. Sturdy bipod. Easy to install. Good product. It requires a little lubrication and works smoothly. This is a good purchase.
Great bipod unbeatable price.
Mounted this bipod on my S&W M&P15 so far it works great, and for the price, you can't beat it. Now I wish I had ordered a few more of them for future projects.
