Burris AR-1X Sight
Don’t miss a thing with both-eyes-open shooting. Push-button activation lets you choose between green, red, or black reticle settings. One lithium battery yields up to 5,000+ hours of service. The black reticle is etched onto the prism, so you can use the optic even without battery power.
Easy-to-see reticle hash marks offer trajectory compensation to 600 yards. Lens coatings are maximized for glare resistance and low-light operation, and the sight is night-vision compatible.
Its compact design leaves room on your rail for a flip-out AR-Tripler. You will be amazed the the rugged construction of this close quarter battle (CQB) sight

Better than I expected red dot sight
A very nice Red dot sight if you are into close-range shooting, but if you are into shooting at a range the AR-15 is designed for, you will need the Tripler, as the reticle is a bit busy for anything over 200 meters.
Great for people with an astigmatism!
I have various reflex red dots, from cheap to fairly expensive, and always wondered why I saw a star burst instead of an actual dot. Come to find out I have astigmatism (basically, your eye focuses at two points instead of one). This prismatic sight reflects light internally differently than a red dot "reflex" sight does. In turn, the dot and reticle are clear as a bell. The glass lens is etched, so you see a black reticle and dot even without battery power. It does have a window for eye relief, unlike a reflex red dot, but I can live with that for a clear dot. Unlike a red dot, you can also focus the sight (like a scope). The glass is very clear. It seems like a true 1x, and it is easy to shoot with both eyes open.. All in all, I really like it.
