I've read that these are supposed to be replaced every 1000 rounds fired, but they are sturdy and I have one that is still in service at over 2500 rounds. A competitor makes these out of a blue polymer and mine were beginning to crumble at the edges after 6-700 rounds.

Bought this for use in my Witness pistol. The fit was perfect and installed without issue. Although I can't say it makes a huge difference in recoil impulse, I do believe it doesn't hurt anything. I installed this along with heavier recoil spring, and the two together definitely helped. If there is a chance, it will extend the life of my frame; it is well worth the expense—no issues with function while shooting.

I bought one of these for an EAA Witness .45, and it fits perfectly since the Witness guns are licensed clones of the CZ75 series of guns. It is definitely tighter when locking the slide back, but I haven't had it fail to lock back a single time during firing—a very good, cheap insurance policy against any slide-to-frame wear during recoil.

It is molded too big, but that is not a bad thing -- better to need to file some plastic off than to not have enough. After I had installed it, the slide wouldn't lock open. That fixed itself after about 100 rounds. It still takes some compression to manually lock the slide open, but it works fine when actually in use, and I feel it is worth it not to be worrying about the frame getting beat up. Never a single jam because of it. Bottom line, you have to fuss with it at first, but it is worth the effort.

Fits good, and I'm sure it will help lengthen the lifespan of my pistols. I'm using these in an EAA Witness Compact .45 Auto and an older Tanfoglio TZ75 9mm. The 9mm will not lock open after the last shot with the buffer in place unless using hot ammo. Aside from that, I fully recommend it.

I'm up for anything to add to the longevity of my CZ, and a Buffer is a Great Idea; the only problem I have is the slide is a bit tough to close; I think as it wears in and Compresses slightly, this will go away, I have a similar product on my 1911 and haven't had an opportunity to see if it has the same problem.
