BSA sweet 17 rifle scope
I have used two different scopes on different applications. Both performed flawlessly, with positive and returnable clicks. Used on 17 HMR only. Don't know about other uses
bsa sweet 17 3-12x40 riflescope
I have mine on a Marlin 17V (heavy barrel) for small critters out to around 250 yards. When first sighting it in, I did the usual procedures; then I ended the session with two five-shot groups, one group at minimum power and the other at max. At 100 yards, the groups were superimposed over each other, appearing as one group, with all ten shots easily fully covered by a nickel. My rifle has a 22" barrel, while the scopes' trajectory adjustment mechanism is based on a 24" barrel. The difference in trajectories are minor and easily compensated for by the shooter. Great scope. My daughter has a nice little Savage in .17 HMR, so maybe she'll decide to pick one of these up. Great optics for the money. The turret is claimed to be 1/4" per click (at 100 yds) but is just a bit more than that, although not much. Absolutely no trouble of any kind with the one I have. I would buy another without hesitation. Tough, well-built, dependable and repeatable. The nice thing is that it didn't cost anywhere near what my HMR-chambered rifle did. I bought the rifle when the caliber first came out many years ago, and the demand for them was extreme. Now I wish I could find another rifle just like it for the same price. It would also be sporting the BSA Sweet 17. Yeah, I like it that much.
BSA sweet 17 review
I own rifles with optics costing 2k plus. This is an excellent little scope for rimfire rifles since you only shoot 100yds +-. I put it on a savage A17 and it works well, optics are clear, and it holds its zero. Good for a price point optic.
BSA Sweet 17 scope is a Great product
Huge improvement over the previous model. I had one of the older ones and you couldn't see the crosshairs in it it was so fine, which made hitting anything a random guess at best. Side Focus is also a plus since I don't have to lean completely over the gun to reach it or use salad tongs.
