Mesa Tactical offers a shortened length of pull stock, known as the “Urbino” stock, for Benelli, Mossberg, and Remington shotguns. The Urbino stock kit is very popular in our law enforcement market due to the shorter length of pull, allowing the user to wear body armor or bulky clothing without extending their reach.
The reduced length-of-pull (LoP) makes the Urbino the first truly tactical stock for the Benelli M1/M2. The Urbino Tactical stock is durable, easy to shoulder and will not slip.
The Urbino Tactical stock, is a fixed-length pistol grip shotgun stock made from injection-molded glass-filled nylon. Developed to meet the needs of law enforcement and military operators, the rugged Urbino Tactical stock features a 12 1/2″ inch LoP, soft uretahne rubber grip, optional Limbsaver® butt pad, optional adjustable cheek riser and a variety of flexible sling mounting options.
All hardware included, no gunsmithing necessary to install.

Better than the standard stock
I put this on a model number 11053 Benelli M2. For this particular shotgun I had to open up the holes on the backing plate and stock itself with a drill. That's the reason for 4 of 5 stars. Fits well and is super comfortable. I'm 5'7" and this took two inches off the length of pull and made it much more comfortable to shoulder.
If you are going to own a Ferrari you shouldn't put Walmart Part on it.
Let me first say I am by no means an expert on weapons. I was taught to shoot at a very young age and have been comfortable around guns my whole life. Several years ago I was able to see a Benelli M2 at a gun store and was in love from the moment I first handled one. I was also impressed with the price but I knew one day I would be able to get one. I have always liked having the tactical stock on my rifles and shotguns for ease of handling and use. So when I was finally able to get my first Benelli I knew I needed to get a tactical stock on it. I reached out to a couple of former SF guys that I am friends with as well as a former EOD Secret Service agent friend and they all said the same thing. The Urbino stock is the one to go with. Good enough for me. Purchased and delivered. Installation was the only thing that I had trouble with in that you had to do a few mods yourself to get it to fit onto the M2. Not a big deal but when dealing with a $1400 shotgun you kinda wanna make sure you dont screw it up. A quick YouTube search turned up a couple of videos but nothing covered my specific shotgun. However I was able to get the minor mods done to the stock and its working just fine and is worth the price.
Urbono Stock Installation M3 Super 90
The installation of the Urbino stock on my new M3 Super 90 is a great improvement in "length of pull" over the factory stock that came with the M3. I found the installation of the Urbino to easy but there where aa few minor issues that should be noted: 1- The "Urbino Tactical Installation Guide" under the heading "Shotgun Platform Compatibly" indicted that the M3 uses a small nut mounting of the stack. This was not the case for my M3. I used the M4 installation platform (Mounting Bolt) information. 2- The Urbino supplied sling plate through hole measured 0.758" inside diameter but the M3 recoil spring tube measured 0.785" (20mm) outside diameter. This difference required grinding the sling plate using Dremel tool with a grinding wheel. I ground the existing hole to 0.792" diameter to allow for a small clearance. The plate does rattle a small amount after the installation of the stock. 3- The provided Nylon Sling Plate Blank also need to have a small clearance adjustment on the inside profile (at the pin locations) to allow clearance for the Recoil Spring Tube nut at the receiver. The flat to flat on the M3 receiver nut measures 1.063" and the inside clearance on the Plate blank was 1.000”. The required clearance was achieved with a small file carefully removing equals amounts of materials from each side to keep the blank pin holes centered on the receiver holes. I would recommend this to others.
Urbino for Benelli M2
The Urbino stock made my Benelli M2 Tactical my new favorite firearm. It fits perfectly and handles like a dream! I'm glad that I took the leap of faith and ponied up the dough for this stock. No regrets!
