Outstanding solid, modular mount
I have an A.R.M.S. #35QD base with a set of #35 scope rings on my flattop AR., and a second set mounted so an M1A. A.R.M.S. On the flat top, I use a short Bushnell 10x40 mildot fits perfectly. I was able to install the rings to the outer two attachment points on the base too for a full grip on the scope. The base was clamped forward on the upper receiver, and the eyepiece was right at the back of the receiver, just above the charging handle. I have Perfect eye relief without having to resort to a cantilever-type base. I don't have any B.U.I.S. fixed to the top rail. Therefore I was able to attach the rings without the optional medium or high risers and - with the added height of the base itself this gave plenty of clearance off the rail while letting me keep a perfect cheek weld on the stock without any need for a riser comb or similar attachment. The 1" scope fits wonderfully inside of the optional A.R.M.S. 30mm to 1" inserts, which are very well made and clip securely onto the scope - no fumbling. A nice feature about the inserts is their size. The rings hold the scope tight, and the upper and lower halves of the rings directly contact one another. This makes it impossible to damage the scope via over-tightening. HINT: If you don't need the medium or high risers, get them anyway. They don't cost any more, and if you change to a larger scope, you have an option at hand for reusing your low scop mount.
Quick release riser
need a quick release riser for a IR optic on an AR this worked perfectly
Typical Rock Solid A.R.M.S. Quality
I have one of these with #35 rings on my flattop AR, and am adding another to my M1A, which currently uses an A.R.M.S. #18 to provide the Picatinny mounting rail, along with A.R.M.S. #22 rings on the scope. This is not the lightest way to QD mount a scope (the A.R.M.S. #22 rings do that) but its probably the most rock solid; especially if your gear gets a lot of handling and jiggering around in backpacks and such, the full length 1-piece baseplate provides a much smaller chance of any changes occurring when off the weapon. It also provides a little extra height over top of the base picatinny rail, so be sure to plan for that. Outstanding product.
Top quality, versatile mount
Use with A.R.M.S. track rings, very solid mount. Versatile height adjustment with optional med. and high track ring spacers. Good eye relief adjustment for larger scopes.
As good as you can get
You can take this on and off your rifle and it will align perfectly to where your hitting the same spot every time. A little bit of extra rail to the front would be desired to accomodate the attachment of a quick release brass catcher. But only minor modifying of the brass catcher base was needed
