Arms 17s mount
Come fast
The FIx I needed
Exactly what the Gunner Mate needed when he ordered a Magpul ARMS configured bipod - glad you are filling a niche needed that doesn’t kill the checkbook
ARMS 17s QD mounts super tight
The ARMS 17 QD mounts super tight to the rail! No worrying about it coming off!
Just what I needed
The ARMS QD Mount with a Picatinny insert is ideal for mounting a reflex optic for fast target acquisition on an AR15 for IPSC competition. Quick removal allows the rifle to a service configuration for CMP competition. Return to zero is a given (No adjustments are necessary after re-installing.)
Short N' Sweet
It's an A.R.M.S. mount, and like the rest, it works. I used this for the Magpul bipod, and it is nice in that it only takes up the amount of rail space as a typical Magpul XTM panel. A.R.M.S. mounts are GREAT for mounting scopes and maintaining ZERO even removing them and replacing the scope, they maintain ZERO. That advantage isn't necessary for a bipod, but hey, isn't it an unwritten rule, we have to maintain a certain format on our "projects"? While NOT the mount's fault, I don't quite understand why Magpul chose the #17S to use for the new Magpul bipod. Why? Because the A.R.M.S. mount for say a Harris bipod incorporates the standard #17 mount in it, which could have been used, and would probably pull over some Harris customers, once they realize they would not have to purchase another expensive A.R.M.S. mount. What is the difference? The standard #17 mount takes the space of TWO XTM panels for TWICE the holding power. That is a lot of difference in pressure on a hand rail, when preloading a bipod. NOTE: The other item that should be mentioned here: When purchasing the A.R.M.S. mount to be used with a Magpul bipod, A.R.M.S. does NOT include the screws need to mount it to the bipod, NOR does Magpul include the required screws (oddly the #17 used on a Harris bipod, has the screws included). Obviously when paying almost as much for a special mount (the other two Magpul bipods come 100% ready to use as is) as for the bipod itself, it is NOT unrealistic to assume the two mounting screws should be included, especially when ordering the mount and the bipod as a set. MSP does offer them as an "accessory", but hopefully with my complaining they will just include this as part of the "package" when ordering them together.
datasheet
we'd like to check the distance between the 2 holes on the art. could you send us the data sheet or the drawing of the part? could you also tell us about the delivery time for 2 parts? best regards
A.R.M.S. #17 Short
I bought this to mount to a used PentagonLight MD-2 that came with the tension screw mount. This is the original single throw lever mount that was a PentagonLight option. MSP shipped the mount quickly and it fit and worked as intended. When ordering, make certain whether you need the Short or regular #17.
