This AR stock is of high quality and is reasonably priced. It fits very securely on the tube with no wobble or rattle. The color is a good match for products from other companies. I will be using it on other builds and would highly recommend it.

I usually go for Magpul when I'm upgrading the stocks on my firearms, but this time I decided to try out Hogue because they offered a variety of colors. I wasn't too concerned about fit and finish since this was more of a fun project for me, but I was pleasantly surprised by the Hogue stock. It fit much more snugly than any of the Magpul stocks I've used, and there was virtually no wobble when it was locked into place. I think I may have found a new favorite brand for stock upgrades.

I love my magpul stocks but just had to try this one for a new build and so far I love it its a touch lighter than the magpul ctr has three quick release swivel points the rubber keeps the inside silent when shouldered (good for hunting)there is more movement then the ctr though but not much also the rubber butt pad has hard plastic at the very top so clothes don't get caught when shouldering and last this is a great company

I installed this stock on my Sig 522. Sig/Sauer has discontinued parts and support for this rifle. When the Folding Stock was damaged I could not find an affordable replacement option I bought an adapter from Sig and this Houge Stock and with a little modification with a dremel, was able to convert to a very comfortable fixed stock. This is my favorite rifle for plinking. Over the past few years I have tweeked it quite a bit, making it an excellent and fun gun for plinking.

I installed this stock on a Ruger AR-556 and it is absolutely perfect. This thing fits like a glove over Ruger's MilSpec buffer tube. I had previously purchased the Magpul MOE Carbine Stock (MilSpec)but it was as loose and as jiggly as Ruger's OEM stock. Hogue once again saves the day with a great product.

Please have a little experience with a few stocks, such as Magpul MOE and the CTR, as well as safari land (came store on my Colt AR). This is my new favorite Stock! No wobble such as is with the typical MilSpec stock rifle generally comes with or that of the Magpul MOE. Is as snug as the CTR or Safari land, but no need to mess with a second lever to snug the stock up. Absolute perfect fit! Installed on my Adams Arms AA-15. As a bonus, due to design of this stock, after adding a Midwest Industries slip-on single mount sling mount, this stock can still utilize all 6 collapsible positions. Won't be searching for another stock to try out, this will be my go to store from now on. I love the look and feel of this stock, feels great shouldered and feels good on the cheek. Tempted to try the Hogue Rubber over mold pistol grip, but I'm just to sold on the Magpul Rubber over the mold. As a double added bonus, with this stock, there really isn't a absolute need for a single point sling mount as this stock can accept QD mounts and it has one mounting location at the receiver end, when supply is collapsed, that location is within a 1/4" of the Midwest industries sling attachment.

Have a couple of these. The rubber over mold is very comfortable on your face and much better than the standard plastic. I've had plastic ones that would occasionally yank out a whisker (ouch), but no issues like that with this one. The over-mold seems to tighten up the fit with the buffer tube as well, less rattle than with plain plastic. A little stiff at first when making LOP adjustments but loosens up pretty quickly. Also, the FDE matches up fairly well with furniture of other brands, I wouldn't be too concerned if that is a question you might have. Very satisfied with this unit.

I expected a little more from Hogue, but they aren't a big player in the AR-15 market. I have their overmolded stocks on a Ruger 77, Winchester 70, two Ruger 10/22's, and a Tamer grip on my Super Redhawk. These are all great products. This AR-15 stock fits extremely tight on the buffer tube. There were no instructions included so I had to figure out how to install this stock on the buffer tube (it does not install like a standard collapsible stock)by pulling down on the pivot pin on the adjustment lever. The cheek weld is a little higher than I prefer. The stock looks OK, is functional, and I like the overmolding. If Hogue does a little fine-tuning, this could be an outstanding stock.

I like these much more than the Magpul stocks I used to use. It's the only one I buy now. The pad does have a bit of the Hogue texture, which can grab light clothing but not so much that it creates a problem. The thing I like most is that with the correct stock (mil-spec or commercial) the all to familiar AR rattle is eliminated.

I've been very impressed with the fit, finish, and functionality of this stock. I replaced the factory plastic stock on my DPMS Oracle with this one and there is no comparison. The stock fits tight,doesn't rattle, and feels much more solid. The rubber butt pad and cheek weld make it comfortable and functional. I will be buying this stock for future AR's!

I decided to use one of the Hogue stocks I had set aside for my 80% builds. They are mil spec stocks, so I had to put a mil spec tube on my bushy lower (which was supposedly a commercial tube but it would not fit with a Magpul CTR commercial stock!?!). I had an Arch Angel comm stock on it (that's actually not too bad of a stock especially for the cheap price, great for a budget build). This Hogue stock fits super tight, almost too tight (much more difficult to slide up/down that I'd like without any lube, but not too terrible). There is NO rocking, rattle like I've had with Magpul CTR stocks. It is silent respective to rattle. NONE, no movement. Although I do like those Magpul CTR's still, their slight movement/rattle probably is whey those will slide easier up/down than this Hogue. The rubber end plate of this Hogue is hard rubber, like most ALL of the so called rubber dampeners on the market, all except Limbsavers. The Limbsaver snap on version does fit on this Hogue stock.. Take off the Hogue rubber endplate (2 screws hold it on), you can then fit the Limbsaver Recoil Pad Snap-On AR-15 Universal 6 Position 1/4" Step-Down Rubber. It's a tight fit but it does fit and will not easily come off. This setup was done for my 450 bushy upper. This Hogue stock has 3 QD holes, sling slot, seems more complete than any other stock out there. One negative thing is that the rubber of this stock will attract dust/dirt. With only handling it inside, my dirty hands have made it look dirty, grungy now. Magpul's are a harder plastic, which do not do this. The Arch Angel is a softer plastic but does not attract dust/dirt either.
