Great so far
I really like this sight for its compactness. With the low mount, it looks sleek on my pistol, avoiding the bulkiness of some other sights. I mounted it on a 22 target pistol. It fits well on Picatinny and most optic bases, though I had to slightly widen the slots on my older Buckmark Target model rail with a 5/32" round file—no big deal, just a few swipes. It adjusted to zero precisely and has maintained it. The dot is bright enough on sunny days at higher settings. After 600 rounds, if this sight continues to perform, I'll be very satisfied. A tip for mounting: Don't try to tighten it all at once. Just snug it onto the base, then retighten occasionally while shooting. Things tend to settle in after a few adjustments, then stay put without needing to over-torque or use Loctite. I'm no gunsmith, just sharing my experience—your mileage may vary.
I'm very pleased
I mounted this sight on my AR-15 and have fired about 200 rounds over two sessions. So far, it's performing well. It adjusted easily and has maintained zero. The glass is clear, and the dot size and brightness are just right. I appreciate its compact size and use a standard iron sight behind it as a backup. I haven't put it through any 'torture tests'—nor do I plan to—but based on several YouTube videos, it seems durable. My decision to purchase was influenced by these videos and Midway's reliable return policy if the product didn't meet my expectations. I'm very pleased with it so far.
Red dot repeat??
I found this to be a great, budget-friendly sighting option. Holosun, Primary Arms, and Truglo all offer this same unit under their brand names. I'd suggest going for the best deal you can find. I have one from Primary Arms and another branded by Truglo, and both perform exceptionally well. The only difference is that one has the mounting screw on the crane side and the other on the plate side of the revolver. Aside from that, they're identical. These sights work best with the low mount on a revolver, positioned as far back as possible. I've mounted mine on the Raging Hunter platforms in .44 mag and .454 Casull, and they've been fantastic. Hope this helps!
A solid and reliable Red Dot
I mounted this red dot on my AR-15 and immediately appreciated how quickly it dialed in and maintained zero. The compact size is perfect for mounting it forward on the receiver, allowing space for a backup open rear sight. The shake awake feature really sold me on this product—it's incredibly convenient and, combined with the 3 to 5 year battery life, makes for an excellent choice. While I haven't personally tested its waterproof and durability claims, YouTube reviews suggest it's quite resilient. I haven't put it through any extreme 'torture tests,' but it feels very solid. This red dot is an excellent entry into reliable optics without unnecessary extras, though paying more can offer additional features like different color dots and battery screw covers.
