I initially mounted a Vortex CCW on my Springfield XD-S Mod 2 but was disappointed by its 14-hour shutdown feature and overly sensitive side buttons. I switched to the CT RAD, which I prefer due to its auto-brightness adjustment and quicker wake-on feature. The CT RAD fits my Springfield perfectly without a mount plate, unlike the Vortex. Despite liking my RMR and Sig Zero more, the CT RAD is superior to the Vortex. Now, the Vortex is on my Ruger 10/22, as I ran out of handguns to use it on.
