Like just about everything that I have purchased, MagPul has made that, this is well constructed and fits comfortably. You can install the Magpul RSA rail sling attachment onto any rail as long as you have about an inch to spare. It measures just under an inch wide, and at two inches long from the outside tip of the loop to the retaining screw. It is finished in a beautiful matte black finish.

I bought the Magpul rail sling mount to use on my duty AR. Once in hand, I started getting ideas. This is a very versatile mount. I now use one on the 12 o'clock rail of my Steyr Scout rifle, a Ruger GunSite Scout rifle, and both my personal and duty AR rifles, and am buying more for my son's rifles. It is rugged and places the sling in a handy location.

I ordered this Magpul RSA rail sling attachment specifically for review for my fellow firearm enthusiasts. I used this sling attachment on my newest AR-15 build. As always, Magpul never ceases to bring new innovative products to the firearms market. Sling attachment has an excellent finish and is very high quality. It is a very heavy duty, and it shows. The sling attachment installs very quickly to any part of your 1913 Picatinny rail, by merely removing the Allen screw. It works perfectly with Magpul's MS2 sling, or any quick detach sling you may already have. If you would like to have a very high-quality sling attachment that can be moved for different applications, then this is it! Highly recommended.

The Magpul RSA quick detach sling mount attachment ss a great replacement for sling mount. The great thing about this particular mount is the ring makes it very easy to adjust positions while you have your weapon slung. Very sturdy and well built. Mounts well on Picatinny rails. I will buy this again later for another project.

If you're running the Magpul MS2 sling like I am, this is the only way to go for the forward mounting solution to go to the two-point-sling mode. This mount is built solid and once mounted feels like it might last through a nuclear blast! What I like about the Magpul RSA rail sling attachment is that when you clip into it with the MS2 to make the sling a two-point, the metal loop is plenty big, so the clip doesn't bind at all, allowing for smooth weapon manipulation. I also like that the mount sits flush on the rail, and the loop you clip into angles slightly down so it doesn't stick straight out where it might be more likely to get hung up on gear or clothing. As you can see in the photo, there aren't any corners on this mount, and everything is rounded, which I think will also make it virtually snag proof. I mounted this on my rifle, and it only took seconds of practice to feel comfortable switching from single-point to two-point and back. This thing is fast! Not sure how useful this mount would be for someone running a different sling. Magpul has done it again by creating a quality, simple to use even under high-stress situations product! Definitely, recommend!

I've always used a single point sling, so I didn't miss the forward sling point, but seemed to run into issues when going hands-on with a suspect, or climbing over obstacles. the sling mount is very heavy duty and seems like it will hold up very well. don't buy this if your rifle doesn't have a rail fore end because then you cannot use this
