My favorite rifle Bipod
I bought this harris bipod, not knowing how it would fit my new Remington 783. All I can say is that it fits like it was made for it. I am very pleased with it. the quality is outstanding
Harris SL Bipod
The product was very easy to install. It only took me a minute or two to attach to my DSC Picatinny rail bipod adapter. This was my very first time ever time attaching a bipod, and I'll have to say if I can do it, then anybody can. I attached the harris bipod to my Springfield M1A with an Archangel stock, and I have to say it looks great. I have not had the chance to go to the range just yet, but I have friends with the same product model and tell me great things about it. Looking forward to it.
Harris 9-13 Swivel Bipod are Well built.
harris 9-13 swivel bipod Well built product made in Kentucky. I think the length is about right for prone or bench shooting. I haven't had it long, but haven't had any trouble with it. Good product!!!
As you would expect,
As you would suspect, the purpose of getting a swivel type bipod is due to shooting from an irregular surface. Most uneven surfaces aren't going to be flat. If you have any cant at all when you are taking a shot, the longer the shot, the more you'll be off. So the swivel will help to assure that you have your rifle is upright. That being said, it's not foolproof. No matter how tight you make the swivel adjustment, it will move ... unless you use an item like the KMW Pod-Loc. The addition of a loc turns Harris from an outstanding product to near perfect. So, the 9-13" Harris bipod (the 6-9" is too short - I've found that I usually need at least 9" of lift for the rifle), the Pod-Loc and then a GOOD anti-cant device a good quality mono-pod , and of course a quality rifle and quality ammo ... you can get multiple bullets through the same hole. (Last weekend, while breaking in a brand new customized DPMS Long Range 308, with the above setup and Black Hills ammo, I got three bullets through the same hole at 100 yards.)
