I have struggled with lining up three dots in the past, but I found a solution in the 1970s when I started using Tappan-King sights on my 1911. These sights, designed by Mel Tappan and made by King Gunworks, feature a dot on the front sight and a painted square under the rear sight notch. This design makes it easy to quickly acquire and line up the sights, as it is simply a matter of aligning the dot over the square. The same concept is used in the Heinie Straight Eight sights, and these Ameriglo sights offer the same benefits. The added bonus is the tritium inserts, which make these sights useful in low light conditions. I highly recommend these sights as a great alternative to traditional three dot sights, and they are also a reasonable price.

I previously used a Trijicon HD night sight with an orange front dot, but I decided to switch to AmeriGlo night sights and the difference is remarkable. The orange dot on the Ameri Glow sight is slightly larger than the Trijicon and it is much more easily visible in low-light conditions. I am extremely satisfied with this sight and plan to install it on all of my pistols.

I highly recommend this m&p shield sight upgrade. The orange ring is highly visible during the day and the tritium dots provide excellent visibility in low light and darkness. The unique "U" shaped rear sight creates a perfect "cup" for the front sight to rest in, ensuring proper alignment at all times. I will definitely purchase it again.

The i-dot front sight is a perfect fit for my M&P SHIELD 9mm. The orange ring allows for quick target acquisition in daylight, and the black rear sight improves accuracy compared to the 3 dot sight. The green tritium is also very effective in low light conditions, making it easy to align the sights with the target. The transition from light to dark is smooth and seamless. I highly recommend this product.

These night/day sights are the best I have ever used, both in terms of visibility and performance. They were easy to install on my Shield pistol and have made it much simpler to locate the front sight. I am now considering adding them to other pistols in my collection. The glow is extremely bright at night and the red front sight has a clear appearance during the day, providing a "figure 8" sight picture that I prefer.

I highly recommend purchasing these as you will not regret it. The bright orange front attracts your attention quickly, making target acquisition easier during the day. The materials used are high quality and installation is relatively simple. Additionally, the glow is very bright and easy to see in low light environments.

The sights were fast to acquire and line up since it was lining up the dot over the square - making a lollipop. Richard Heinie used the same concept in his straight-eight sights, and these Ameriglo sights accomplish the same thing. The best part of these sights is the tritium inserts that make them useful at night. At last, a great alternative to three-dot sights at a reasonable price.

The best night/day sights I have ever seen, let alone have on one of my own pistols. It's so easy to find the front sight now. I put them on my Shield. I am currently looking to do the same to other pistols. The glow very bright at night, and in the day, the red front looks like a clear glow as well the sits fight in the you notch for a "figure 8" sight picture that I prefer.

Perfect upgrade for my S&W Shield, the I Dot configuration is super fast and easy to get your sight picture day or night. I will add this site to my other defense guns; for me the orange front sight is the way to go.

Some call "straight eights" are much easier to get on target then the conventional three dot system. Some also refer to them as "tactical sights," but in either situation, they are outstanding. Additionally, when you order, they are specific to your weapon, and installation/fit was perfect.

I purchased a set of Amerigo pro i-dot sights for my S&W M&P 9c and loved them so much that when I bought a shield, I immediately got a set and had them installed before ever shooting it. I have either these or XS big dot sights on all my carry weapons. Both are awesome. The price on these was better than the big dots, a real bargain! Don't hesitate; they are incredible sights! I prefer these over typical three-dot sights every time.
