Great base but.....

The base fits well on my Savage 24V, with the right length screws provided for a secure installation. Despite that, the Savage 24 has a long Length of Pull, which limited my ability to position the scope for proper eye relief. I had to strain to place my eye in line with the scope, as there are only two positions available for the rings. This may not be an issue with other scopes, but it's worth considering when choosing. More notches for the rings would be ideal.
